Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara Pouch

This is a pouch that I made for a friend’s Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara. It’s a pretty big knife so rather than stacking the sides as I did with the Urban and UKPK pouches I wet formed the front piece.

Because I was wet forming the front I didn’t use any sort of templates or measurement for this. Once wet formed I simply measured the width of the wet formed piece and cut a long rectangle of leather for the back and flap. I then glued the wet formed piece to the rectangle and trimmed it to match the profile of the wet formed piece.
