Pellet Box

This is a small box which I made to help me learn box stitch. The idea behind the box was that it could be worn on the belt and used for pellets when shooting.

Creating

Box stitch is like saddle stitch only the stitches are sewn at an angle through the leather in order to join two pieces at right angles.

As you can see above the stitch emerges just above the bottom of the side of the leather so that when complete the seam is invisible inside the item.

I was pleased with how it turned out but I did need to make the sides of the lid longer as they were too short to form into a proper square really.
